With this super pretty yarn, I wanted to make myself a cowl. And since I like the puff stitch so much, I decided to combine both and make this super awesome mosaic cowl! The pattern is easy to adapt to other sizes. That means that you can basically use any yarn that you want, and the hook size that you want, and still make a beautiful Mosaic Cowl.

Avec cette très jolie laine, j'ai voulu me faire un col. Et puisque j'aime tant le point soufflé, j'ai décidé de combiner les deux dans ce magnifique col! Ce patron est facile à adapter à d'autres tailles. Ce qui veut dire que vous pouvez utiliser la laine que vous voulez avec la taille de crochet que vous voulez, et vous faire un magnifique col Mosaic!

I love the Caron Cakes. I love the colours, the price versus quality, the stripes, the softness..! So when I heard that the brand had released new stuff, I rushed to the store to see what it was. I was very pleased with one of their new product: The Tea Cakes. It's a Super Bulky (size 6) yarn, and it's really soft and pretty. I bought a bunch of these Cakes and I came back home.

J'adore les Caron Cakes. J'aime les couleurs, le prix versus la qualité, les rayures, la douceur..! Alors quand j'ai entendu dire que la marque avait fait du nouveau matériel, je suis allé au magasin pour voir ce que c'était. J'ai été agréablement surprise par l'un de leur nouveau produit: les Tea Cakes. C'est de la grosse laine ''Super Bulky'' (taille 6), et c'est très doux et beau. J'en ai acheté pas mal et je suis revenue à la maison.

I played around with this yarn and I came up with this design. It's a really great pattern for men. It's actually, a great design for women as well but I think it suits my partner way better than me. And since patterns for men are super rare, let's label that one a design for men.

Je me suis amusé avec cette laine et j'en suis venue à faire ce design. C'est un patron vraiment parfait pour les messieurs. En fait, c'est un bon modèle pour les femmes aussi, mais je pense qu'il va vraiment mieux à mon conjoint qu'à moi. Et comme il y a très peu de designs pour les hommes, disons que c'est pour eux.

Because the yarn is really thick and because it's made with a big hook, it's a super fast project. I think it's really pretty too. And trust me when I say it's also crazy warm.

Puisque la laine est très épaisse, et parce que c'est fait avec un très gros crochet, c'est un projet très rapide. Je pense que c'est très beau aussi. Et croyez-moi quand je dis que c'est incroyablement chaud également.

San's Sunny Sweater - crochet pattern

Finally. After a whole year of wanting to write this design, I finally did it! But let's start from the beginning. 

Enfin. Après toute une année à vouloir écrire ce design, je l'ai enfin fait! Mais commençons par le commencement.

July 2016. I made a sweater, for myself. It was totally free-handed. Wasn't perfect, but I was proud of it. So I shared it on social medias. Especially on Facebook in a crochet group. Wow. The reactions I received blew my mind. I didn't know that my not-so-perfect sweater and my even-less-perfect pictures would be so popular.

Juillet 2016. Je me suis fait un chandail, pour moi. C'était totalement à main levé. C'était pas parfait, mais j'en étais fière. Alors je l'ai partagé sur les réseaux sociaux. Principalement sur Facebook dans un groupe de crochet. Wow. Les réactions que j'ai reçu m'ont renversées! Je n'aurais jamais cru que mon pas-si-parfait chandail et mes encore-moins-parfaites photos seraient si populaire.

Obviously, I improved the design. I changed the constructions. Modified the hoodie and the sleeves and changed a thing here and there. But you can see that I started from this picture.

Bien entendu, j'ai amélioré le design. J'ai changé la construction. Modifié le capuchon et les manches. J'ai changé des trucs par-ci par-là. Mais vous pouvez quand même voir que je suis partie de cette photo.

Today, I now have the official pattern, version 2.0 (tested and approuved by wonderful testers) in 6 different sizes! Because as you can see, my sister (who's a size medium) wears her sweater beautifully. And I (a size x-large) do too!

Aujourd'hui, j'ai donc le patron officiel, version 2.0 (testé et approuvé par de géniales testeuses) dans 6 tailles différentes! Car comme vous pouvez le voir, ma soeur (qui fait du medium) porte magnifiquement son chandail. Et je (taille x-large) le porte très bien aussi!

And I you can't find your size in the list, you can adapt the pattern, thanks to the section called ''how to adapt the pattern'' (great name, isn't it?). So for the curvy gals, you can make it bigger, or for the smaller gals (or even for your kids!), you can make it smaller. You just need patience, and a pen. Well, you'll definitely need other tools as well, but you get the idea...

Et si vous ne pouvez pas trouver votre taille dans la liste, vous pouvez adapter le patron, merci à la section appelée ''comment adapter le patron'' (merveilleux nom, n'est-ce pas?). Alors pour les femmes avec des courbes, vous pouvez le faire plus grand. Et pour les femmes plus petites (ou même pour vos enfants!), faites le plus petit. Vous avez seulement besoin d'un peu de patience, et d'un stylo. Enfin, vous aurez besoin d'autres trucs, mais vous comprenez....

The Watercolour Shawl - Crochet pattern

I really like the outcome of this design. It is simple, yet beautiful. It's one of those mindless project that you can work on while watching the kids at the park.

J'adore le résultat final de ce design. C'est simple, mais si beau. C'est un de ces projets qu'on fait sans vraiment réfléchir tout en surveillant les enfants au parc.

I used the Caron Cakes to make these shawls. The first picture used the colour ''Faerie Cake'' and it is my favourite of all three that I've made. The result of the stripes with this pretty stitch is awesome.

J'ai utilisé les ''Caron Cakes'' pour faire ces châles. La première photo, j'ai utilisé la couleur ''Faerie Cake'' et c'est mon préféré des trois que j'ai fait. Le résultat des rayures avec ce joli point est tout simplement sublime.

The second shawl is made using the colour ''Bumbleberry''. All shades of purple. Even though the blue shawl is my favourite, this one is a close second. 

Le deuxième châle est fait avec la couleur ''Bumbleberry'' de la même marque. Tous des tons de mauves. Même si le châle bleu est mon favori, celui-ci tiens une solide deuxième place.

The last one that I want to show you today is actually the very first one I've made. I didn't plan to write the pattern when I made this one. I was just playing around with the stitch. But I found the result so beautiful, and so pleasant to wear that I decided to make the other two in order to write the pattern properly. I'm happy I did, it's one of my favourite design!

Le dernier que je veux vous montrer aujourd'hui, c'est en fait le tout premier que j'ai confectionné. Je n'avais pas planifié d'écrire le patron quand je l'ai fait celui-là. Je m'amusais tout simplement avec le point. Mais quand j'ai vu le résultat final, aussi joli, et aussi plaisant à porter, j'ai décidé de faire les deux autres châle pour pouvoir écrire le patron convenablement. Je suis heureuse de l'avoir fait, car c'est un de mes modèles favoris!

I hope you will like this design too. It easy to do and to adjust the size if you want it bigger or smaller. And it's a good pattern for the begginer crocheters out there.

J'espère que vous aimerez aussi ce modèle. Il est facile à réaliser, et facile à adapter si vous le désirez plus petit ou plus grand. Et aussi, je crois que c'est un bon patron pour les crocheteurs débutants.

Girly slippers!

This month, I made a giveaway on my Facebook page to celebrate 1500 followers!! I decided to give away one pair of slippers, which is my all time favorite AND most popular pattern. There were a lot of entries, but only one winner!

Ce mois-ci, j'ai décidé de faire un concours sur ma page Facebook pour célébrer 1500 abonnés!! J'ai fait tirer une paire de pantoufles, qui se trouve à être mon patron favori ET le plus populaire. Il y a eut beaucoup de participants, mais un seul gagnant!

My winners gave me Carte Blanche for her pair of slippers, she only requested Pink, Purple, Violet and flowers. I think I can say mission accomplished!

Ma gagnant m'a laissé Carte Blanche pour sa paire de pantoufles. Elle m'a seulement demandé du Rose, du Mauve, du Violet et des fleurs. Je crois que je peux dire mission accomplie!

I love this design so much. I could make ten more pairs of slippers with this color combo, and they could all look different.

J'adore vraiment ce design. Je pourrais faire 10 autres paires de pantoufles avec cette combinaison de couleurs et elles pourraient avoir l'air toutes différentes.

The Great & Fast Granny hat - Crochet pattern

I'm really happy about this new pattern. It's really easy and fast to make, and you can use pretty much any worsted weight yarn that you want (even though I would not recommend cotton yarn as it is designed for a stretchy yarn).

Je suis vraiment contente de ce nouveau patron. Il est vraiment facile et rapide à faire, et vous pouvez utiliser pas mal n'importe quelle laine #4 que vous avez sous la main (sauf la laine de coton, je ne recommande pas. Ce patron a été créé pour une laine plus élastique)

I had a lot of fun with my Caron Cakes. I used the color Funfetti and I was able to make 2 hats out of one cake, and both look completely different! Awesome!

J'ai eut beaucoup de plaisir avec mes Caron Cakes. J'ai utilisé la couleur Funfetti et j'ai été en mesure de créer 2 chapeaux avec un seul cake, et les deux sont complètement différents! Super!

So far, the pattern offers only 3 sizes: Adult small, medium and large. But I plan on adding more sizes, maybe. If that's popular enough :)

Pour l'instant, le patron n'offre que trois grandeurs: Adulte petit, moyen et grand. Mais je vais peut-être ajouter des grandeurs, tout dépendant de la popularité.

Which one is your favorite between the orange hat, and the purple hat?
Mine is the orange, definitely.

Lequel est votre favori entre le chapeau dans les tons de oranges, et celui dans les tons de mauves?
Le mien, définitivement le orange.

Everest slouchy hat and scarf

Un de mes patrons les plus récents est la Tuque slouchy Everest. Créée avec le point vague. Définitivement un de mes motifs favoris! Et puis ça allait de soit que je devais aussi écrire un patron pour un foulard assorti. Ce que j'ai fait!

One of my most recent pattern is the Everest Slouchy. Created with the wave stitch. Definitely of of my favorite stitch! And it was obvious to me that I had to write a pattern for a matching scarf. So I did!

La photo ici à droite est mon ensemble personnel. Dans mes couleurs favorites, c'est-à-dire le Sarcelle et le Noir. Et j'ai ajouté du Aqua et du Bleu Vif parce que ça allait si bien tout ensemble!

The picture on the right is my personnal set. In my favorite colors of course: Teal and Black. And I added some Aqua and Bright Blue because that went so well all together!

Ma soeur voulait aussi un ensemble. J'en ai profité pour expérimenter avec les combinaisons, tout en respectant ses goût. J'en suis venu à ce combo de couleur: Noir, lavande, améthyste et gris! Magnifique!


My sister also wanted a set. So I jumped on the occasion to experiment with colors while respecting her taste. I went with Black, Lavander, amethyst, and gray! Beautiful!

J'ai fait plusieurs ensembles pour expérimenter, en fait. L'un d'eux est cet ensemble en gris, totalement dans les couleurs style ''bas de laine'' qui sont si populaire au Québec! Je l'avais fait pour le plaisir ainsi que pour tester mon patron. Il a vite trouvé preneur. Ma soeur (oui oui, nous sommes trois filles) l'a adopté!

I made several sets to experiment, in fact. Including this set in gray, totally in the ''sock monkey'' colors that are sooo popular! I made it for fun as well as to test my pattern. It wasn't long before someone claimed it as her own. My sister (yep, 3 girls in the family) adopted it fast!

J'ai également fait cet ensemble en Orchidée, Rose et Blanc. Je l'ai fait tiré sur ma page Facebook à l'occasion de la St-Valentin. La gagnante l'a bien apprécié!

I also did this set in Orchid, Pink and White. I gave it away on my Facebook page for Valentine's day. The winner really liked it!
